      Very Laid Back and Relaxing

      Pros

The job is easy. If you know your products, your hourly rate has the potential to skyrocket through the roof. Good source of income for college students looking to get by.

      Cons

Forced to up sell customers. For example, I do not agree with shoving products in the customers face if they are coming in looking for a protein bar or an energy drink. I am pretty sure GNC is going downhill and the upper management is pressuring the sales associates to bring the company back up. There are not many opportunities for advancement and lunch breaks are non existent.

      Not the best.

      Pros

Slow work environment, work alone, make your own schedule.

      Cons

Upper management threatens your job, they expect way too much from you and your part timers who get paid minimum wage, HR department is the worst, they don’t take sexual harassment seriously, part time employees are unreliable because they are paid minimum wage, you pretty much do everything yourself. If your employee is sick for two weeks, you have to work everyday with out a day off.

      Not Worth It

      Pros

Decent pay if you’re lucky enough to have a good location

      Cons

They pay you next to nothing if you aren’t at a booming location. Upper management stresses numbers without any real helpful tactics, paired with the poor pay it leads to large turnover

      Pros

      Employee discount, learning about products.

      Cons

Upper management rules with an iron fist. They essentially want you to be fearful of upper management.
