I have been working at GNC full-time

    Pros

Pretty easy tasks to delegate to associates to make sure the store is run properly.

    Cons

staffing proper associates always seems to be an issue. You interview a candidate and not want them after, but your regional sales director makes you hire them anyway. They usually end up getting fired for not having the proper skills to work. Unrealistic goals for memberships paid and unpaid.

    Advice to Management

Be more realistic with expectations for store performance.

    Pros

Flexbible schedule, get a good discount, and people are usually pretty cool.

    Cons

Terrible pay unless you make some decent commission. maybe 11.50 paid with possibly a 3-5$ increase with comissions.

    Advice to Management

Pay associates more and offer more employeer incentives

I have been working at GNC full-time

    Pros

Performance-based, merit-based working environment with great education on health and wellness products.

    Cons

Way too much micro-management, constant rollout of new initiatives that make little sense, focus on numbers over people

    Advice to Management

Put the focus back on your people. Grow them from within, they will work harder if you care about them more than just production and numbers.
