I have been working at GNC full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

In my sales region, you get your own store, and in many ways can rub it as you please. There is a lot of freedom, and there are many incentives for performing well as a salesman. You can climb the ladder into corporate office if you so choose.

    Cons

Sales goals can prove unrealistic at times, and communication with higher management can sometimes be lacking.

    Advice to Management

Mind your p'sand q's, take care of your customers and stay in touch with your regional director, and you will have a successful store.

I have been working at GNC full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Flexible schedule. The idea of pm is great and also helping people obtain their goals. Also the fact local stores assist each other with any needs

    Cons

The pay is very little to what you have to do. You can barely have time off, if you do there is a conference call, surprise visit, text or call about numbers or budget hours and and your not allowed to go in to OT. I havent seen a job where people are let go so much makes you feel as if everyday is your last. Stores have very small budget hours which can be a hassle when 4 people are in at once and your the only one working and then your helping customers ring out and the phone is ringing.

    Advice to Management

there is to much to do for little pay and not enough time for your self if off

    Pros

Enjoy being around supplements and people working out or trying to be healthy. Also like the fact that when you are a manager you can create your own atmosphere with your employees.

    Cons

If your not meeting the goals you being looked at differently and sometimes I think they lose sight of what this is to people and have unrealistic expectations. Also think they put to much emphasis on the products rather than the customers.

    Advice to Management

To look at what's better for the customer and to put emphasis on customers coming back.
