    Pros

Awesome job especially for people still in school and people who love working out and supplements. Overall was an amazing job when I worked there.

    Cons

Felt like the company stopped caring about customers and only cared about selling pro accessed. I had co-workers who were fired because they couldn't sell it.

I have been working at GNC full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Thought the RSD had my back but nope they believe lying scammers instead. Do not work for this company, they do not value your hard work.

    Cons

All it takes is someone to complain against you with no proof and bam they terminate you, even tho you’re the best manager they have. Here’s my story a kid lied said I hired him at Gnc but I sent his friend to get me food one time and set a box of candy bars on the counter for me because I felt bad and wanted to pay him for something. I also offered him a job to paint my house as I was getting ready to rent it. The kid who I didn’t have do anything’s Mom calls Gnc on me. She tells them I’m taking advantage of her son. Her son who she claims has autism, but is at the mall all day by himself and shows no signs of autism but tells me he hears voices( not autism) she also claims I was trying to sexually bait him. Huge jump and Gnc goes right along with it and decides to terminate me. Even after I show them pictures of this kid all over social media begging for money for his basic needs. These people only wanted money. So now my son who does have autism along with his siblings are going to loose the roof over their heads. Way to go Gnc.

    Advice to Management

Actually care about your people and just blow smoke

    I worked at GNC part-time

    Pros

Selling nutritional items to customers and assisting in diet plans to meet customers weight loss/weight gain goals. Overall, fun and enjoyable experience working here. I learned a lot about supplements and fitness.

    Cons

Required by some stores to recommend some products over others to promote sales goals and commissions.

    Advice to Management

Educate the customer about different products and what might work best for them but also dont push products to people if they dont want to buy it.

    Pros

    -Lots of downtime
    -Commission based
    -Competitive base pay
    - Bonus for hitting store goals (Avg sale, margin etc)

    Cons

Schedule, It can be rough, It's hard to make time for my family working 6 days a week.
-it's hard to keep entry level employee's because of the skill's required compared to the pay offered.
-Corporate seems to operate like a chicken with it's head cut off, like most retail stores they're spiraling in their death throws trying to compete with amazon.
-You really have no where to go after being a manager, some larger franchise's will hire district managers to manage multiple stores for higher pay than a store manager.

    Advice to Management

Try to make things as comfortable for the people under you, it's a rough gig working part time for little pay. It's better to retain the staff you have than have to retrain new people every 6 months.

Your store is your team. If you get along with them it can be mutually beneficial and make work a good experience.

    Cons

Even if corporate plans may not benefit your store you have to comply. When your manager is stressed you are stressed.

    Advice to Management

Hire employees you can trust. Come up with your own incentives.
