    Pros

Our new ownership (as of Dec 2016) has brought a new vision and purpose to the team. The new culture is amazing with a focus on work-life, empowerment and a drive for results. We value diversity and have great synergies! I love coming into work everyday and feel lucky to be a part of such an amazing group of talented folks!

    Cons

Still settling into our new office!

I worked at GPS Staffing full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It was fun going to lunch with some of the co-workers and that's about it.

    Cons

Extreme micro-managing owner. Everyone works in one big room, there is no privacy. Terrible commission structure.

I worked at GPS Staffing full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I worked with Streffco Consultants on 4 separate contracts over several years. They placed me in very positive positions on good terms with employees and managers of these client companies. The contracted work was well defined where I benefited from the positive relationship Streffco had already established with the client. The pay was fair and negotiations were honest in working out a rate. I got plenty of good support from Streffco admin office staff.

    Cons

No problems working with Streffco. Did eventually tire of the consulting business and decided to settle as a regular employee of a Denver company.

    Advice to Management

Continue to nurture the good relationships you have established with the client companies. Honest working consultants benefit from solid client relationships.

I worked at GPS Staffing full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Co-workers are fantastic. The coffee is pretty good too.

    Cons

Everything. With only sub 30% sub rate and less than 3% fill rate, expect to never get commission. ALL new employees beware of filling requisitions and time constraints. I had a sub rate of over 70% and never had a single hire. Learn to live without commission. The only long term employees are those that are not on a certain client. Not veteran friendly, management looks down upon veterans.

    Advice to Management

Learn to lead. Micromanagement is not a compliment, nor is it appreciated or warranted.

I have been working at GPS Staffing full-time

    Pros

Our company was acquired by investment partners who are genuine. Our company has gone from stuffy, controlled and behind the times to fun, laid back, manage yourself but let’s get stuff done environment. We have an awesome team and we enjoy working together. We have nice new modern furniture including stand up desks and nice new computers. Although our company has a long history, we are now more like a startup in the sense that everyone has a chance to make a difference, everyone has power to make changes and everyone can move up within the company. Our new owners would like to take our company to an entirely new level of success in the thriving Colorado market.

    Cons

Understanding and adapting to new leadership. Ongoing adjusting to the evolution of the company.

I have been working at GPS Staffing full-time

    Pros

The culture at GPS Staffing has completely changed with the new ownership. The former company got bought out by new owners in December. With the transition, the company now offers flex work hours, work from home opportunities, excellent vacation time, and a casual work environment. The owners also often buy lunch for the employees in the office. You can tell that they care about their employees. The dynamic and feeling in the office has changed with the new ownership.

    Cons

Still organizing from the move to the new office downtown.
