    Pros

They don't put artificial limits on what you can achieve. They try to promote from within and it is possible to work your way up into leadership roles if you show you can handle it.

    Cons

You will be expected to work hard; there are no "coasting" roles.

A good place to work... if they have the work

    Apr 7, 2019 - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

Excellent benefits, Competitive salary Very open culture and atmosphere for a government contractor

    Cons

Extremely short term planning. Management is only concerned with the contracts in front of them. If a contract is cancelled or not secured, then you will lose your charge code, and be asked to take leave without pay while they try to secure another contract, which could take months. They have no contingencies for their employees. They will also interview you even if a position is contract contingent. You may do extremely well in an interview, when they really don't have the work lined up for you.

    Experiences with the Company

    Pros

GaN has always been supportive of my goals and needs and as a small company, offers the home-town feeling that instills security. There are a number of attributes that set GaN apart from industry peers, but I believe that the singular theme in what makes GaN unique and special is that it’s not about us; it’s about our customer. It instills efficiency as an Imperative, employees as its greatest asset; and remains to this day, a "relationship-based company". I believe that it is this core value that touches our government customers most directly. Our relationship-based business model permeates to the core of the GaN culture and identity and fuels an ‘it’s not about us’ attitude that makes GaN the unique organization that it is.

    Cons

Although graduation from Small Business (8A) signifies maturation for a small business, competing alongside giants such as GD & LM is problematic.
