Management, Customers, Work Environment, CEO’s all the higher ups are the absolute worst. For working during this pandemic instead of hazard pay they gave a $25 store gift certificate and 5% more on our discounts.

As a merch manager you spend the majority of your 10-12 hour shift on register processing, you don't have much time to actually merchandise your departments to standard, extremly hostile work environment, I have been in multiple locations where if the gm personally does not like one of the merch managers they will sabotage thier schedules, walks with district directors and so on! It is an extremely fast pace environment and you as a manager are trying to shoot at a moving target it feels like, there is no communication or plans in place to get there, as a manager I was held responsible for processes and requirements I was never taught , the gm never has time to actually develope you as a future leader, you will qualify for a bonus but will spend every second up to checks are being cut to know if you received one, the company spends thier focus on opening new stores to the point that they leave everyone else behind.

The only good thing was the starting salary.
