I have been working at GainSpan full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - right market to be in at the right time
    - emphasis on software
    - some very talented engineers
    - leadership with a vision

    Cons

    - not enough talented engineers with the right skill sets
    - handful of mediocre engineers dragging down the rest
    - poor marketing effort in the public as well as the industry
    - poorly focused leadership, vision doesn't traslate into actual good implementation and execution

    Advice to Management

Need to do a better job of taking advantage of the current IOT hype and letting the public know more about Gainspan.
It'll lead to attracting more talented engineers to join the company as well.
Get rid of mediocre earlier hires that were just position fillers.
