    I have been working at Gallagher full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    - interesting clients - Boston location - passionate coworkers (apart from management - review won't let me post without a minimum of 20 words, so adding this here.

    Cons

    - you will not have a life outside of work. You are expected to work or be available to work, 24/7. No exceptions. If you call in sick, you are expected to work. If you take a vacation day, you are expected to work. Weekends are for work, not for doing the things at home to keep your family functioning. - Very political. No way of resolving issues. Management doesn't care. - account executives treat client and office service staff with incredible disrespect. - huge turnover. Large amounts of burnout, many employees seen crying or panicking. Managers don't care. - very questionable processes and ethics on the larger corporate scale. Professional standards for some processes border internal E&O risk. - older, long-term employees post-merger are being fired quietly. - expensive benefits that cover only the bare minimums. But you can (wait for it) do even more work to jump through hoops for meager "discounts" on it. - everything is done on the cheap. But they spent millions apparently in marble and perks at the new corporate office. Meanwhile, starting in August we'll have to pray to get pens and paper.

    Extreme workload Below average pay Little support staff Expected to run all aspects of an account Producers have too much say while not doing any work High pressure Very nominal raises, below inflation rate for an exceptional annual review rating (10/10 will get you 2-3%)

    Pros

    Once you earn your manager's trust, you can have flexible hours. Great place to learn if you have knowledgeable and caring co-workers.

    Cons

    Overworked, underpaid and very limited opportunities for promotions! The wrong people get promotions and there are some unqualified people in management positions due to nepotism. Raises come along every few years unless you threaten to leave. "Titles" are given to unqualified people who get the higher salaries and offices.

    I worked at Gallagher full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    The HR department has a very streamlined onboarding process and the company's systems are fairly modern. Some nice employees.

    Cons

    The particular office I was working in did not have the best environment. Many of the employees seemed to be afraid and unhappy. Be prepared to be blamed for many things that you have no control over. Also, don't expect much patience when you are a new employee. Very weird office with high turnover. Is this really "The Gallagher Way" of treating employees? What a shame; I'm glad to be gone.

    Pros

    The work environment is great! Everyone is super friendly and are willing to help one another. The company provides access to a variety of training tools to assist everyday work flows.

    Cons

    Very disorganized and work overload. Very little work life balance. Management needs to hire more people and recognize those who put in the extra time. Professional standards makes it difficult to get the job done. Too much work and not enough time in a day to focus on professional standards.
