I have been working at Gallup (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This job was one of the best I had, but because of the people. Because Gallup focuses primarily on employees (they do all the work), they promote a healthy and fun environment. They match college tuition based on performance (although it's hard to achieve), and they offer tips and bonuses if you work extra hours.

    Cons

You're inside all day. Sometimes it's really all about luck, no matter how great your pitch is a person will answer and hang up as soon as they hear your telephone voice. Makes it hard to attain tuition reimbursement. No room for advancement in the company at all, unless you are literally the best out of 200+ workers, thats hard to do. Overall, had a good experience but the thought of ever going back to it literally sucks the life out of me.

    Advice to Management

Schedule more activities outside of work time, and offer more room for advancement.

I have been working at Gallup full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Work is about making lives better, flexible schedules and ability to sometimes work from home, fair pay and ability to control part of the pay based on performance, culture of recognition.

    Cons

Ever changing targets and processes -- need the ability to go with the flow, manager will make or break the team, VERY high expectations.

    Pros

very flexible schedule, family environment, easy to learn

    Cons

redundant, as much as they tell you its in your control, your success is based a lot on luck. you just have to put yourself in the best possible position to get lucky

I worked at Gallup part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

At gallup you have the opportunity to make more money than the base pay because your pay is performance based. So if you work 20 hours in a week, but you get 110% of your quota, you get paid for 22 hours! Flexible hours-basically as long as you hit your required hours for the week, you can come and go as you please. Perfect for the schedule of high school and college students looking for part time employment

    Cons

The job was often times very repetitive, so it could get boring. Also it can become frustrating to get people to answer questions in an accurate manner.

    Advice to Management

Training is very good, employees in training get to know exactly what they should expect. Managers should cut the workers more of a break on "mis codes"

I have been working at Gallup full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Flexible schedule, easy to leave for appointments or errands.
Great location with a fitness center, easy to walk to the pedestrian bridge.

    Cons

There has been a lot of turnover recently.
The pay is lower than it should be for the jobs being done.

    Advice to Management

There is too much specialization going on. There are several employees where they are the only people who know the job, and if one of them leaves it is very painful.

I have been working at Gallup (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay is nice for a high school kid and it's really easy. I really enjoyed my time at Gallup and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a job

    Cons

Management acts like they care about you but they don't care. Also some of the people who work here are kind of strange and just complain about people they talk to all day.
