    Pros

Culture and people: you see a person's true character in tough situations - from our CEO's leadership and humanity all the way through to every area of the organization, people here are rallying, stepping up and helping each other; a great feeling to be a part of this team.

I worked at Galvanize full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Middle management was fantastic (before the CEO snapped and let everyone go) Beautiful office Competitive compensation and benefits Great team

    Cons

Major disconnect between the CEO and everyone else - the whole "moose on the table" concept is garbage. If you dare question the CEO, or share an opinion different than hers, your days are limited. As is evidenced by her forcing out incredible leadership (CRO, VP of HR, among others). CEO is too singularly focused on taking the company public just so she can add that to her resume and then presumably leave, letting everyone else clean up the fall out of her bad decisions. Senior leadership completely ignores feedback from the sales reps in terms of competition and what customers actually want, and this why Galvanize's/ACL's competition is eating them alive.

I have been working at Galvanize full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Galvanize has been a great employer for me and those I interact with. I have worked in multiple companies over the years, and can appreciate this to be a special place. The people and teams have been great, and have been "real". And the technology and learning has been amazing. The recent combination of ACL and Rsam is huge and it went far better than any other acquisition I have seen or heard of. The combined tech is extremely promising and exciting for the future. I feel this is the highlight of my career so far, with much runway to go.

    Cons

Like any growing company there is a lot of "new" to work with here. I see most people embracing this with excitement, but I know that is not for everyone. I think it appeals to those that are interested in dynamics and accelerating their careers, less for those that crave day-to-day consistency in tasks.

    Pros

Great benefits and perks Good compensation Vacation and PTO time Great company to work for when you are just out of college, but not if you are an experienced professional

    Cons

If you are not in the office in Vancouver, say goodbye to any promotions or any movement within the company. Managers are not there to contribute to the company’s success. Instead, they are peddling their own selfish interests even if that hurts everyone else, especially the company’s bottom line. There seems to be some sort of behind the scenes drama going on in the upper management. This started becoming more evident in the recent months, after Rsam acquisition. If you are not a yes man, and actually have the guts to question management’s bad decisions, they will try to get rid of you or make your life hell so you leave on your own, no matter how much value and experience you bring to the company.

I have been working at Galvanize full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Culture is great. Everyone is nice, helpful, and will help out where they can. Work hard, play hard is the general consensus here which for me is a great thing. Always snacks at the office. Occasional travel for trainings and company wide summits. Management within support is great. They share news and provide logic behind reasoning. No micro management found here at all!

    Cons

Feels like the company is experiencing growing pains after the acquisition. Certain cultural nuances and mentalities are not playing well together causing a bit of tension. Office culture is not uniform at the moment with the Vancouver office being much more fun to be in. Secaucus office is not all that relaxed but that could change soon with a potential upcoming office relocation; At which point I hope that they address the difference in office culture. It'd be nice to have the same/similar benefits and amenities as the other offices. Career paths are not clear at all but management states that they are looking into this so only time will tell.

    I worked at Galvanize full-time

    Pros

Good company culture. Everyone can bring their own idea. Company is transparent. It's easy to get the full picture of the projects. Good benefits.

    Cons

Technology is not cutting edge. Cares too much marketing staff and misses technical direction. Most of QA's work are manual.
