    Advice to Management

    I worked at Gap part-time

    Pros

Great management, very friendly coworkers, awesome discounts at Gap, Old Navy, and Banana Republic.

    Cons

Unpredictable and inconsistent hours week-to-week and day-to-day. Not much salary growth. Annoying to constantly push the Gap card at customers - and performance is reviewed based on how many Gap cards you open, which is pretty dependent on daily roles and luck of the draw with customers. Pretty poor starting salary but seems like it is pretty easy to move up if you perform well.

    Advice to Management

    More consistency in schedules

I have been working at Gap part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It's a job puts very little money in my pocket not enough to pay bills or live off.

    Cons

No hours, mangement has no common sense and likes to talk behind employees backs. They also talk crap about each other. They pay minimum wage. This is only a place to work if you're in high school and have no bills to play!

    Advice to Management

Set realistic goals for your employees and stop talking about your co- management to the other managers and stop talking about the employees in front of and to other employees it's very unprofessional.

I worked at Gap part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The company is pretty good with pay--I started at $9 an hour. The policies are pretty decent as well (paid breaks offered during every shift). Everyone was pretty professional for the most part, at least at the store I worked at.

    Cons

There is an overwhelming push to advertise the store credit card which can become annoying because most people are not interested in the card and customers can get very rude when asking.

    Advice to Management

Care about your employees as much as you care about the customer.
