    I worked at Gap part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Nice people to work with. Very accommodating and flexible with scheduling. High base pay. Great employee discount across all brands. Opportunity to win point to use towards prizes and awards for outstanding performance.

    Cons

    Too much emphasis on brand credit card sales. Lots of on-call scheduling. Some clothes are priced unreasonably high. Late Holiday Season hours.

    Can apply for advancement in leadership positions, really flexible with school hours, good starting company for retail industry, great benefits, multi-cultural company

    Cons

    Management can be unhelpful at times, inconsistent, unorganized
    Disconnect between corporate HQ employees and retail employees
    Can be stressful dealing with customers

    Advice to Management

    Visit your stores!! Try to understand what your employees have do on a daily basis-it's not all about numbers-
    Be more organized and be better communicators with your staff

    Retail hours are always long.
