    Pros

    - there was a great discount - you get to meet a lot of really nice people - high level of training (the company has started a leadership training program for new supervisors and managers that gives them an overview of the company and its values and expectations) - if you work full-time, the health benefits are definitely superior to a lot of other companies

    Cons

    - schedule is different from week to week and I've heard that now that employees get their schedules by email, sometimes they don't now what they are working for the next week until the Friday before. - underpaid in comparison to other companies with the same workload

    Pros

    Employees are passionate about the company and it's evident in their work and attitude. It's a unique work environment that's fresh and energetic. Every day I walked into the building I was proud to be working for such a great company, and happy to work with wonderful people. I left for family/personal reasons and I truly miss working at Gap (corporate) everyday. Still in touch with most everyone I worked with. Great company! (ps-can't forget the great discounts! I really miss my discount card!)

    Cons

    Would have been nice to have some type of commuter benefit/discount for using mass transit (not sure if this has changed since I left the company)

    Pros

    Great discount, decent pay for retail, really friendly people, most customers are pretty nice and have easily resolvable problems, somewhat relaxed, but about business when necessary, fair amount of respect from managers to sales associates, good work is appreciated, ability to move up in leadership

    Cons

    Shoplifters, number of hours ebb and flow, Gap Cards, mean customers, working with people who you may not always get along with, it's retail, which sort of sucks when you're on the way to becoming a professional, confusing and elaborate promotions

    Pros

    easy scheduling, great discount on banana, gap and old navy, the pay is better then at other major retailers, every store has great people working there, management that is very approachable, fun job when you make it fun and focus on costumers selling the mostly great product

    Cons

    slow days can be really boring, when the store doesn't make money they cut hours like crazy, the number of hours varies each week so its not a steady amount, no place for sales associates to make recommendations for better ways to run the store

    Pros

    I loved my time with the company. Great discount, fair practices. Relatively casual style of employment made it a good part time job. There was definitely opportunity for those willing and able to commit, but it wasn't as if you were pressured.

    Cons

    Management was in flux constantly. My store was poorly run, but I know that the company isn't always like that. My store constantly underperformed, so we were shut down, and since the company is having a difficult time reclaiming their old style, it might be a recurring trend.
