    Pros

Great coworkers. The managers took an interest in their subordinates and everyone seemed to have an "open door" policy.

    Cons

Not a lot of lateral movement or chances to cross-train. For the most part, it felt that whatever position you were hired for would be the position you would remain in for the duration of your tenure.

    Laid back atmosphere
In office gym is a great benefit

    Cons

In recent years the change of management has cause some turmoil as has the recent sale but the foundation of the company still remains.

I have been working at Gardner Denver full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The people are reasonable. There are very few "difficult" people. Everyone that works hard, and keeps a cool head is honored and offered promotional opportunity as they arise.

    Cons

Location. Although Sedalia has most of what anyone could need, people who like living in large cities might not be used to it.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. Be sure to take notice of those whose work generally goes unnoticed. Small recognition goes a long way here. Empowering people to take charge of their responsibilities without micro management is a real strength here.

I have been working at Gardner Denver full-time

    Pros

Gardner Denver has a good culture that fosters a team work environment. Management tends to stay off your back if you're getting you're work done. I haven't been micromanaged and receive good feed back on what I'm doing right and what I can get better at. The work life balance is the best I've seen compared to other places I've worked and am aware of through friends and family. The company provides ample vacation days as well as holidays.

    Cons

Pay isn't bad, but I know they could do better. There are only a few communication gaps in operations, but the good news is I see ,and am a part of, these gaps closing.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work.
