I have been working at Garretson Resolution Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

There are countless things to improve at this company. That works one of two ways for people. If you like structure and predictability, you will end up frustrated at the vast majority of roles in the organization. If you can deal with the fast-paced and often disorganized nature of the company, there is opportunity everywhere. Compensation is typically competitive, but mileage may vary. Overall, employees who have...

    Cons

Instability within IT segments of organization have impacted progress of core business initiatives. The company is currently trying to rebuild from a period of volatility and turnover, which is always difficult. High-performing technical talent frequently flows out to banks and other employers in the area.

    Advice to Management

Follow through on promises around employee retention and attracting talent. If you want to compete with the banking industry in Charlotte, you have to create an environment that your people are excited and enthusiastic about. Also, train your managers to actually be managers. Many of the managers at this company spend little to no time actually

I worked at Garretson Resolution Group for less than a year

    Pros

Very nice coworkers so long as you stayed within your group. There isn't much employee bonding between the divide of hired employees and contractors. No pressure, left the job at the office every day.

    Cons

Extremely disorganized, lack of management, little training with no follow up and no actual standards of operation. New hires are training each other on processes that have no guidelines.

    Advice to Management

Develop some training tools, give guidance and use standard inclusive communication methods.

I worked at Garretson Resolution Group for more than a year

    Pros

Work/Life balance and a known name in the industry.

    Cons

Management is poor, they never pay you commissions you earn. Many promises made and never delivered on.

    Advice to Management

Set expectations appropriately and keep your word.

I worked at Garretson Resolution Group full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

You get paid on time, if you like to float through a job and be a yes man you will be fine. Charlotte is a nice office space, but the commute from anywhere except Southpark is awful.

    Cons

Extremely high turnover. They can't keep anyone in a role long enough to make a difference. Nepotism is about as extreme as it gets. The same 5-10 people are the same people who have gotten promotion after promotion. I'm pretty sure the they think the rest of the staff is inept. They send out emails about the promotions. I don't even have to read them to know its going to be the SAME people. But don't worry, "you're...

    Advice to Management

Stop the favoritism to unqualified employees! Stop making false promises. Get HR together. They are unresponsive and rude in Charlotte.

    Pros

Good place to work if you are between REAL jobs! - Dress Code: wear jeans everyday (and other attire not appropriate for the workplace) - Paycheck: received a paycheck for my work - Co-Workers: great co-workers (don't mistake, Senior Management is not included in this) - Location - I didn't mind the location. It's off the beaten path - close to the owners mansion (let's not inconvenience him although...

    Cons

    - Happy Hour: I'm all for a good Happy Hour, but beer in the office is not appropriate. This is not a frat house..... - Dress Code: people wear leggings to work who should not be wearing leggings - Good Ol' Boys Club: yes, you must be in the 'club' to be promoted. And, it helps if you are a friend, college roommate, Church buddy, or relative. - Management Oversight: the fox is watching the hen house....

    Pros

Great location, flexibility, benefits aren't bad

    Cons

Little to no training provided before you're thrown in to steer the boat of lien resolution in all aspects.

    Advice to Management

Provide 1-2 weeks of initial training with materials that allow employees to fully understand and grasp the full concept of the business and how the company works since it is an intertwined map of departments that work together and depend on each other in order to be successful.

    Pros

Amazing Salaries!! The atmosphere is AMAZING, and the facilities are beautiful.

    Cons

Lack of training. Do not work here if you desire to transition into a space that is structured and organized. This is a position for self-starters who have a desire to figure things out and work on their own merit.
