I have been working at Garretson Resolution Group for more than 3 years

    Pros

South Park location, some good people in the trenches

    Cons

GRG was just acquired by a company that seems to have the same problems as GRG, just writ large. Below-market pay and benefits, lots of incompetent, inexperienced management, unskilled IT group, major decisions are frequently made on a whim. Other than a few favorites, employees are not valued. Despite good performance reviews, I haven't...

    Advice to Management

I am NOT giving free advice to people who should know what they're doing. If management wants advice, they can compensate me for it.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on working at GRG. There are many pros to working in a smaller organization and having a voice is definitely one of them. Please continue to be involved and work with the business teams to help make this a great organization!

I worked at Garretson Resolution Group full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Some very good and smart folks have worked for this company

    Cons

Management and the board have destroyed what started out as a great idea with real potential. I spent nearly 5 years as part of the GRG team and was forced to deal with the miss-management scare away multiple potential clients, possible investment groups and high quality employees including multiple highly skilled executive level operations, finance and information technology...

    Advice to Management

The board needs to fire the inept management team and start over. In my opinion they need to look very hard at whether management can be held legally liable for the company miss-management.

I have been working at Garretson Resolution Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Fast paced environment - able to learn about inner workings of personal injury claim resolution in an industry leader - friendly co-workers. It feels like everyone is in it together. - you control your own destiny. If you speak up about wanting to try something within the organization, management will try their best to make it happen. - always new opportunities opening up. The organization has the feel of a startup....

    Cons

    - at times can feel like you are in a sink or swim environment - if you want to get paid what you are worth, you will have to threaten quitting to get it. - communication across business units can be difficult because there is no defined organization structure - talent acquisition does not match the best fit employee for the organization - "yes man" culture among employees when feedback is asked of company vision. Advice to Management

    - continue communication with employees - launch site for innovative ideas and feedback - continue to encourage employee feedback - socialize with employees 15 minutes a day on the floor. This is REALLY easy and will help build morale. - revise review process to be meaningful. I recommend getting rid of the score since it doesn't seem to give a picture of actual performance. - review hiring process to make sure talent...

I have been working at Garretson Resolution Group full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

GRG offers a very unique and interesting field! I've been a full-time employee for almost 6 years, and look forward to working every day. There were only 77 employees and 2 offices when I started with GRG; today there are 333 employees and 5 offices. Immense growth! GRG provides lots of opportunities and challenges for those who are interested. I love that GRG gives back to the community...employees are actually...

    Cons

I'm a problem-solver, and would love to assist with some of the challenges present at GRG, but it can be difficult to obtain the information necessary to formulate a solution. The company is definitely improving communication between the senior management and the employees, but communication between departments is lacking. If the lines of communication were open, the efficiency...

    Advice to Management

Keep the lines of communication flowing with employees. Often not enough details are provided when assigning tasks, which allows for misinterpretation, and leads to added workload and the possibility of error.

    Cons

Insufficient processes No SOPs Inexperienced Mangement Refuses to accept things are broken and something needs to be done Uses happy hour, pizza and other treats to pacify you instead of making changes Side Note: I find it absolutely deplorable that this company would tell their employees to go on this site and place positive comments to combate the negative. Pros

There are no pros... accept that you will have a lot of work till their job with you is done.

    Cons

GRG experience has been the worst. Very professional. No work ethics. Very dishonest with their employees. Our entire staff feels cheated.

    Advice to Management

Success of any company depends on its organizational culture and trust. Would advice to be loyal with your employees. The higher management needs some ethics.
