    - Performance based rewards and benefits (extra bonuses, Club trip)

    - Ability to develop relationships with C-level executives and truly be a trusted advisor

    Pros

Gartner research, analyst, advisers, and consultants - are great resources for our clients as they make difficult decisions on a day-to-day basis. So it helps to be able to provide a service that actually pays for itself and brings value add to organization that partner with Gartner.

You work with a collaborative team, and when I say collaborative that means a true 1-to-1 partnership to achieve a common goal.

The Pay is on par with most Organization

Leadership provides you with all the tools to be successful in your role - it is up to you to leverage them.

    Great Sales Methodology

    Cons

Lack of Diversity in all roles - especially upper management and the C-Suite
Lack of Diversity in the Field Sales Roles (there is some diversity in SMB and CP)

    Advice to Management

Increase Diversity in markets that reflect that demographic - from a delivery, management, and VP level.

I worked at Gartner full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Work with really smart people, and get a wide array of clients within the Federal government. With Federal clients not that much travel. I also really enjoyed the management team and was able to help build the practice.

    Cons

Would be better if Gartner Analysts and Consultants worked closer together. Consultants often get ignored by the Analysts, but some are great. Also, most Gartner consulting work is not that technical.

    Advice to Management

Keep working on building teamwork and culture.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Intelligent people, great clients, beyond that there's not much more to say

    Cons

Micromanager who manages through fear and intimidation, best categorized as passive aggressive, very political, untrustworthy. Worst manager ever whom senior management will not address. Tends to throw sales people and staff under the bus, yet smiles to their faces. I don't trust her to watch my dog.

    Advice to Management

It's time to unload your EXP RVPs

Vacation - if you get to use it
Backup research material at finger tips
    Vendor Neutral

Have to justify (and keep billing) when training, attending industry conferences
Smooth sailing when all is well, but expect rocky road and little communication until the hammer is dropped
    Rewards the sales-oriented

    Advice to Management

Share the wealth - Gartner is a public company - recognition and improve on success by offering stock awards to employees
A process does not always a balanced system make (be prepared to use mitigation skils as necessary)
