    Very laborious, long hours

    Sep 28, 2021 - Picker/Packer in SeaTac, WA

    Pros

Free lunch, and you're able to work overtime if you need to.

    Cons

Poor work/life balance. Your job as a packer can only be complete at the rate of which the trucks that deliver the charter carts come in. Besides the 15-30 minute interval between delivery trucks, another impeding factor to cart 8-hour cart completion, is some trucks do not have the type of charter cart you need to pack for your next flight. You will likely be getting 1-2 hours of OT, just from waiting for these trucks.

    Pros

Unfortunately any pros are out weighted by the cons. This is an unpleasant environment with high staff turnover.

    Cons

This is an unpleasant environment with high staff turnover. Unfortunately this style of business is incredibly low margin. I believe this is why the business has adopted a burn and churn mentality. With limited career opportunities and very little work/life balance.

No vacations till after your first year. 10 cent raise delivered in 2 terms during the first 6 months They lie in orientation there is no such thing as the 'manager working with your schedule'

Tough work environment with opportunities for growth and development

    Jun 22, 2011 -  in Reston, VA

    Business Outlook

    Pros

Interesting insight into the airline support services industry. Low staffing levels mean boundless opportunities to take on challenging projects and "make your mark."

    Cons

High workload with little work / life balance available. Employees who perform well are generally rewarded with more work and little else. Industry is under pressure to cut costs and become more efficient--you must be very entrepreneurial and willing to work independently to succeed.

An easy but fast paced job

Nov 29, 2022 - Food Assembler in San Francisco, CA

    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

This job is easy to get because it doesn’t require work experience. It’s for anyone who needs a job to pay the bills and find something to do. The duties of the job are easy to perform, and there are free meals and drinks provided.

    Cons

There are expectations to work long hours from management. Long hours can be mentally draining especially during summer season and the holidays. Sometimes, management may not be patient many employees. Also, brand new employees may not need receive enough training to do the job. Declining to work overtime hours can be looked down upon by upper management. Thus, work life balance can be hard to obtain.
