I have been working at Gatestone & Co. full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Easy to apply, nice office, nice enough colleagues. It a good company to start off at if you're hurting for a job.

    Cons

very low pay for the amount of work and responsibility, no appreciation, no benefits, no chance for growth, high turnover in support positions, expected to work from home on weekends with no compensation.

    Advice to Management

Increase the salaries if your support personnel. If not, then at lease invest in an insurance package that will encourage your employees to at least think twice about leaving after one year.

I have been working at Gatestone & Co. full-time

    Pros

It Gatestone I was an first party representative (Outsourcer collector)having to call people and trying to collect very minimum payment thry missed. The good thing about this job was that sometimes you had the option to work overtime . there's a daily report on stats ( money you collected how fast you collected how many accounts youve worked on)you can see how you're improving see where you're lacking. The first couple of weeks you do the job you really like it the environment is good . people are good people and interesting ,fun to talk to .but then the job sometimes you're bored. sometimes you feel bad because all the customers are getting aren't paying. Weekly Jean day fundraiser for different charities

    Cons

The daily reports were helpful but also really hard to take if your status weren't improving. they are always more money more money more money more money rather than try to help this person out and collect their money. supervisors never seem to really know the plan. there was little to no communication sometimes.throughout train one person supervisor would tell you this is ok to do and then another person will come and yell at you and say this is not okay to do and that was constant. They had a horrible turnover rate you would see groups of 10 to 14 people come on and then a bunch of people get fired and if your stats aren't up to their standards expect to get fired out of nowhere no warning.Witness multiple people who thought they were doing good and then they got fired just like that. They had a ton of policies but still wanted you. To be a robot which was hard when you basically had to be a robot to follow all the policies. The work hours kind of stuff you could work either 12 hour shifts and get 3 days off or 9.5 hours and maybe an 8 hour shift. Shift I work was 1:30 to 11 which means you can't really do anything with your day. Depending how close do you live to it

    Advice to Management

Get supervisors to communicate more with each other about policies. Stop making your staff feel like pieces of meat that can be replaced in 2 seconds. Teach trainees to be more customer service oriented rather than just policies and just taking money from customers .guaranteed if you were to teach more skills on how to provide better customer service , customers we would try to pay more cash widen your options to help customers. inform the customers about us . customers don't want to pay because they don't believe that were real! Create better work hours

I worked at Gatestone & Co. full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

If you were experienced in call centre or sales roles, this job would have been a good fit. Commission structure was excellent in a good economy. Management was always fairly consistent and would reward hard work and results.

    Cons

Staff in Phoenix and Australia would constantly steal your client files. Down turn in the economy made the files less lucrative. No sick days, and benefits were cut. Management would constantly yell and berate you, making it the fact clear that it's a revolving door and we were there only to meet client work standards. Always a threat of being fired personally and as a team by the client. Many new hires were out of high school and not well educated or literate, felt like secondary school. Dress code was restrictive, shirt and tie while companies like IBM were going the opposite direction.

    Advice to Management

None since this company is now Gatestone.
