I worked at Geek Squad full-time

    Pros

Get to help out patients and their families while they are admitted to the Children's Hospital for free. Whether it's fixing their device they brought, or checking one out for them to use.

    Cons

It's not easy to see what some of these kids and their parents are going through.
Also leadership changes out on a regular basis, so not easy to grow ones career.

    Advice to Management

Don't forget that theses guys are out here. They do a great job and are representing Best Buy and Geek Squad to people in their time of need.

I have been working at Geek Squad full-time

    Pros

It is a great start to the beginning of a technological career path. It looks pretty decent on a resume and can help jumpstart your future. The people I work with are incredible and my direct boss is great. The people really make the job. I work in the busiest store in the district and it really isn't too much work, pretty lax.

    Cons

MONEY. It maxes out at 18 bucks for doing something that you should be getting paid twice that for. If they paid more, I would stay here forever. I think this is definitely the reason for such a high turn-around time.

I worked at Geek Squad full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The environment which is always positive, people who are excited about the brand and solving for clients. The family feeling.

    Cons

The annual pay increases aren't good unless you some how move up on the pay scale often and prior to reviews. Reorganizing happens yearly and the uncertainty isn't fun.

    Advice to Management

Annual pay increase system needs to be reworked.
