Lots do not do this so...

    Pros

-pto -good discounts , benefits and accommodations -

Although it says consultation agent, you're really expected to sell. You're a salesperson but you're expected to do IT work as well.

    Pros

Team members are always willing to assist when needed Competitive Pay Great Benefits Management is always there to support you Lots of opportunity to learn and develop growth

    Cons

Work only when jobs are scheduled Expected to lift and install TVs of up to 55" by yourself (very awkward to carry) Management is not on-site

    Advice to Management

Static cadets for every agent is a must. Floating cadets do not suffice.

  6. "Great learning experience for IT"

    StarStarStarStarStar
      Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at Geek Squad

      Pros

Geek Squad is how a lot of IT folks get their start. It’s fast-paced and every day you learn something new. It teaches you a lot about the client presentation side, meaning the ability to dumb things down to be understandable by everyone.

      Cons

Certain stores have certain rules, so your experience depends on the management you have. If they embrace what it means to be a “Geek” and give you freedom to think outside the box, you’ll do fine. But if your management team is only concerned with the numbers at the end of the month, you’re going to find it difficult to feel comfortable.

      Advice to Management

Geeks get it done. Just give us room.

I have been working at Geek Squad full-time for more than a year

            Pros

You learn alot about technology. Co-workers are friendly.

            Cons

Customers are old and or very rude most of the time. They don't understand that services cost money and expect things for free and finished instantly. Too many responsibilities and not enough time to do them.

            Advice to Management

Should be something in place to combat rude customers hijacking conversations, while making demands like its a bank robbery. It mentally takes a toll when you need to be super fake with your happiness when all you are trying to do is help!
