I have been working at Geek Squad part-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Potential to learn a lot. If you take the opportunities given you can learn a lot in the position. Generally good folk to work with but frankly it's all based on who the manager is

    Cons

Not all Geek Squad Agents are created equal, so you may have to clean up others messes as this is a tech position, it's still a retail environment

    Advice to Management

Scheduling is more important that almost everything. Keep your agents happy and they'll do their job better than most!

I worked at Geek Squad part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Family like environment where agents care about each other. Clients cause lots of laughter, sometimes unintentionally. Learn a lot about the basics of computers and quick fixes.

    Cons

Depends on location; higher-traffic stores will be more brutal and management can be relentless. Small stores are light and fun, but with less challenges.

I have been working at Geek Squad part-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Great Team environment Great Leadership (when available) You learn a lot of useful computer skills, tips, and tricks Excellent for teaching the basic fundamentals of selling services over physical products

    Cons

No where near enough pay for what the clients and management will put you through. Leadership doesn't understand that a lot of things don't apply to every store location.

    Advice to Management

Listen to in store management more often. In store management knows the ground situation much better than corporate.
