    Great benefits, pay, and opportunities for advancement. Those are the reasons I wanted to come to Geisinger. They still apply but I stay because of the great supportive team I work with, and because as a company Geisingers strives to be innovative and focus on doing the right thing.     There is not enough time in a day!

    Change is inevitable and usually means growth but balancing high work volumes during constant times of change can sometimes make it difficult to sustain.

    I have been working at Geisinger full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

    Culture and work environment are stellar. Added pros are very generous paid time off, retirement and medical benefits. Geisinger is also supportive of alternative work environment (at home) for some positions.

    Cons

    The nearest Geisinger location is quite a distance from my home.

    Advice to Management

    Continue to expand Geisinger locations throughout PA.

    I worked at Geisinger

    Pros

    Good health benefits (if you choose Geisinger providers) at good prices (if you participate in MyHealthRewards)

    Cons

    Extra effort barely noticed and certainly not compensated Management "acknowledges" complaints, but then doesn't follow up (either with visible actions or with a simple update to let the employee know what's going on)

    Advice to Management

    Reward those employees who have gone above and beyond their duties, either through extra efforts beyond their job descriptions or who have taken the time to study and gain advanced skills or certifications. If you don't reward the people who are working hard to better themselves and become more equipped to advance their service to the company, then why would they stay with the company? You're just incubating great employees...
