    Pros

Management very tolerant of risk taking. No idea is bad as long as it makes money. No micromanaging of positions so it's entirely up to individual to make their own fortune.

Very fair formulaic pay out. if you can make money or have a profitable strategy this is the best job.

    Cons

Sometimes the hands off management style can make one feel like a one man team. Some management can help traders to collaborate more and improve team p_l.

    Advice to Management

Push traders to collab more at times. Algo trader can learn from discretionary traders and vice versa. Fx traders can learn from rates traders etc. Sharing idea is a powerful and free thing to do.

    Pros

The ceo likes to enter into new businesses. He also encourages cooperation between the groups. People are kind and friendly. The office location is great.

    Cons

Promises are considered to be soft unless printed on paper. The promotions seem to be based on feelings and politics rather than a consistent evaluation method.

    Pros

    Nice office. Competitive pay.

    Cons

Senior partners run everything and are uninterested in other opinions.

    Advice to Management

Way too much nepotism. It kills morale.

I worked at Gelber Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    * High degree of autonomy over your path to becoming profitable
      * Leadership has a high tolerance for risk and new ideas
      * collaborative culture with kind, well-rounded people

    Cons

    * The level of independence can be a detriment to a green trader if you land in a small/unprofitable group
      * The New Hire program is improving but still relatively immature
      * Compensation structure is below larger competitor's initial offerings (but does offer better upside)

    Advice to Management

Don't be afraid to push brash young traders in the right direction!

None - Expect terrible management practices. People constantly leaving.

    Cons

Poor Management - Poor mindset - Poor everything. Everyone talks behind your back constantly. Career growth doesn't happen.

    Advice to Management

Learn more about psychology of actions and how you speak to people. I didn't realize how bad it was until I left.
