Terrible Place To Work!
Jan 22, 2017 - Customer Service Associate in Chester, VARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Very short hiring process. They had let me know right then and there at the interview that i had gotten the job.
Cons
Bathroom breaks were timed. Lunch break only 30 min and no place to keep your food which means you spend about 10 min just walking to your car alone because parking is ridiculous. Coworkers are rude, wild and loud. It feels more like an inner city highschool than a work environment. I had to quit just after passing training because I cannot work in such a unprofessional and wild environment.

Working for General Dynamics was a bit of a "Sink-or-Swim" environment, but overall the company was well organized.

General Dynamics has vast opportunity for an average CSR to move up to a supervisory role in under a year if one really works toward it. The job is straight-forward and even scripted for those who have little customer service experience. The training is great and the overtime offered is unfathomable (sometimes up to 90hrs/wk).
Cons
Very repetitive work. Depending on the trainer, training can be little to none, leaving the rep to seek other reps after being put on the floor. Things also change quite a bit, sometimes daily, so the average rep has a lot to keep up to date on.

Customer Service Rep

Training was fun but not long enough to learn the ends and out. First day of nesting I learned a lot.
Cons
Be on time no matter what.

Top heavy contract house

A paycheck is better than unemployment.
Cons
- Ridiculous time consuming training that looks good on a report to the customer but adds no practical benefit. - They renege on promises for compensation 'in lieu of severance' - This company is all about the prosperity of senior management.

Pros
Easy to interview. The manager in charge of the project was good.
Cons
Too many other managers. One manager did not even know the content of the project leaving the tasks to 1 experienced employee and 1 new person. No project was ever denied even when there was no man-power left to perform a task. People were reprimanded by management for bringing up possible solutions to saving more jobs. Also reprimanded for not getting proper training within the company and being expected to know too much after 3 months. No gratitude for working 50 hours a week as an intern just to get projects accomplished. Very disappointed with how they treat a new person. Promises of a position with benefits but no follow through.

They Have Bed Bugs!! Seriously!!!!
Oct 1, 2014 - Anonymous Employee in Phoenix, AZRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The job training was fun and easy. The Trainer was great and I learned a lot. However, they have a bed bug infestation and it is a problem that they have had for many years. I was not told that they had bed bugs. I wish they had told me when they offered me the job because I would have turned down the job from the beginning. I now have bed bugs at home which bite my baby :( now I have to throw away my furniture and pay a lot to fumigate.
Cons
Bed bugs will infest you home and it will const more to treat it than what you will earn there. I quit after we all started getting bites and the trainers finally told us that there where bed bugs when one was found on a girl.

System Architect

Large company that really invests in their employees if you take advantage of the free training they offer. They seem really good at retaining their employees.
Cons
None that I can see. Too many jobs to choose from maybe?

Inexperienced in Call-Center Employee Satisfactions
Sep 16, 2014 - Call Center Representative in Phoenix, AZRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The company does a great job in security protocols, upholding the belief that anything that has happened to other companies could always happen to them and therefore they should always be prepared.
Cons
General Dynamics does not seem to understand that employee's are human and are required a bit of un-robotic office maintaining. No manager can make changes, no supervisors are allowed to go 'out-side of the box', employee's are frowned upon for voicing an opinion. The company refuses to hire internally until all of their external options have been met first, even when they have veterans of 10+ years with great history with the company applying for the positions. They cannot seem to keep any HR representatives or keep proper and thorough company training nationwide. One site does things one way while another does it another way and the employee's newly hired or those that assist them must suffer the consequences of it.

Pros
Reasonable shift options to work.

Training is overwhelming and exhausting.
