I have been working at General Mills full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

good benefits and pay . good breaks

    Cons

forced overtime, the company hires engineers to be team leaders and into management positions when they have no idea how to lead and relate to employees. the company and management say it cares about the employees but they don't, they just care about themselves.

    Advice to Management

hire management who are educated in dealing with and leading employees, maybe someone with a business administration degree instead of an engineer with no people skills.

I have been working at General Mills full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pay, benefits, location, solid union plant in the greater chicago area...........that's about all for the good with this company seeing they are closing us in 2017.

    Cons

Management are morons, the ceo is an idiot taking a raise after announcing our plant closure. The plant, though it's old, is still a money maker and that's all they care about. Corporate greed.

I have been working at General Mills full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

A decent wage can be made if you're willing to put in the hours.

    Cons

Workforce became too old and greedy and failed to set the proper example for several of new employees.

    Advice to Management

It's too late for this plant. They probably used more newer supervisors to shut our facility down for the lack of relationships and willingness to prove to upper management that they have what it takes to be committed to the business...
