    Pros

    Was a great place to work.

    Cons

    After the Advance buyout I would not recommend it, terrible infighting between GPI and Advance stores.

    Yeah about that.

    Lots to learn and my supervisor has been excellent

    Cons

    Poor communication and below average pay

    Advice to Management

    Pay people what they are worth, not what you can get away with. Also, don't judge the employee by who they associate with, judge them by their work and dedication

    Pros

    Exciting new work challenges and opportunities. Management is willing to listen to new ideas and ways to increase the shareholders return on investment.

    Cons

    Need additional staffing so that more new projects can be undertaken to provide even better user software so the company continues to be a top company.

    Advice to Management

    Follow the historical management philosophy that has made the company strong.

    Pros

    Position is rewarding and filled with opportunities to demonstrate your abilities. Outside the box solutions are expected and initiative for implentation rewarded.

    Cons

    Extremely long hours with numerous six and seven day work weeks. OJT is the predominant training module and is inconsistant in presentation, depth, and oversight.

    Advice to Management

    Care more for the individuals employed. Work toward allowing balance between work and home life. Consider shared staffing between locations and be proactive in resolving operational opportunities.
