Good company but no shore support

Mar 2, 2021 - Captain in Philadelphia, PA

    Business Outlook

    Pros

Decent pay and benefits for everyone

    Cons

No room for advancement for ones who have a license but no college degree. High turnover for guys on deck that have license and experience but office hires academy grads with no experience and license. Entire crews want 21:21 but office remains defiant and will not change. Refuses to pin units that were intended to be.

Small company with big shoes to fill

Jul 6, 2017 - Terminal Operator II in Port Allen, LA

    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

Good benefits that are very affordable. 401k match. Some room for growth depending on what you know and how you present it.

    Cons

Poor Management Overview. Short staffed, high turnover rate. Low pay to be deemed oil field work. High expectations for understaffed crews, more and more is added daily. No raises. Some have been here for 3+ years and finally got 1.50$ raise, which matches the new hire onboarding rate. New hires are coming in making the same as people with years of experience with the company.
