I have been working at Genesis HealthCare full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

If you are having personal issues within your family, they will work with you and adjust your schedule if you need to.

    Cons

Most of the time for the amount of work that they want you to complete, the time limits are not realistic. The pay is not bad for an aide starting out but in the long run it is better to move on else where or further your education.

    Advice to Management

Rethink how you staff your facilities. Alot of times when you cut your staff intentionally, it makes it so much harder on the staff that is there for their assigned shift and clients. Your staffing needs to be based upon the amount of work that needs to be done.
This company needs to realize that many of your staff are becoming very unhappy with the tactics that you are taking as a company to save money and buy more facilities. It basically comes down to the reputation of your company. Either you want a good reputation or a bad one.

I have been working at Genesis HealthCare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The best reasons to work here are the residents. Love my fellow nurses as well. They make my day, everyday.

    Cons

Administration. She has no clinical experience and only sees dollar signs. Our facility could be 5 star as long as wiser decisions are made on staffing and environmental issues.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your staff and residents.
