I worked at Genesis HealthCare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Loves the facility nurses and aides. They all work so hard to care for the patients. Good experience and education of entry level healthcare.

    Cons

Nurses and aides are all overworked and underpaid, the management staff does not give them enough credit. No appreciation or recognition from administrator for a job well done.

    Advice to Management

Recognize when your staff is doing their best for you. Thank them for coming in early, staying late, and for going above and beyond for the sake of the patients and building!

I have been working at Genesis HealthCare full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Decent amount of time off

    Cons

Low pay, no holiday time and a half. Short staffed, no supplies to care for residents at ALF. Too many people to medicate for one nurse or CMA.

    Advice to Management

More staff and supplies needed to care for 70 residents and one nurse to medicate 50 residents is too much.
