    Pros

Coworkers were great at my location

    Cons

    - pay raise freezes for 3 years
    - took 2 vacation days away from employees
    - won't reimburse licenses, etc
    - won't buy post-it notes as a result of cuts
    - can't take vacation days in the summer
    - healthcare benefits are awful

    Advice to Management

Start showing respect for your employees. You want team players...that's a 2-way street.

I have been working at Genesis HealthCare full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Nothing really took all of our 'fun' things away

    Cons

No raises in 4 years and they expect perfection.. ridiculous. Can't take vacation in July?? Upper management never tells us we do a good job. Just complains about whatever we are doing wrong. Take vacation away from us we don't get holiday pay. Awful way to treat its employees.

    Advice to Management

Do something. Fight for us. We bust our behinds and get nothing. Actually making less money than 4 years ago. Pathetic

I worked at Genesis HealthCare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

the team I built was the only pro; salary was adequate; gym space in this building was very large

    Cons

    expensive health insurance; upper management was not supportive; the employees were allowed to bully other employees; the staff member being bullied was the one to be terminated; DOR was expected to do 4 hours per day of patient care and run a department with 6 full time staff and a caseload of 35 to 45 patients; the number of meetings and conference calls cause the DOR to work 14 hour days;

    Advice to Management

listen to your DOR's; stop micromanaging the buildings; reduce the number of conference calls; have HR do the new hire paperwork instead of the DOR
