I worked at Genex Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    You can work from home.

    Cons

There are too many cons to list. I attempted to get them below. I could write a book about the cons of this company. They have already been sued once or twice. They are the most unethical, dishonest company that I have ever encountered or heard of.

    Advice to Management

Your staff should be paid by the company for their work instead of having the insurance carriers compensate your employees by asking them to exaggerate or lie about their time and travel. Not all people work at the same rates. The staff has a life outside of work and they do not appreciate being contacted during time off or having vacations cut short by added work prior to vacations. Most people do not respond well to treats of being fired. If you was more from your employees attempt to understand where they are coming from rather than dictating to them how things will be. You also should find a system that is fair when it comes to productivity. If cases have been worked for awhile their needs are less. If there are no cases to give there are no hours for the staff to work. It is cruel to make people find busy work that is not necessary so that they can bill for hours. No one like to feel like they are in the verge of being fired every month because there is truly not enough work to do. Calling MD offices every week to remind the MD that you are on the case for the sake of billing is not appreciated by the physicians and it makes the staff feel ridiculous and stupid. One more thing, stop assuming that every client is faking their trauma so that they can get over on the system. It makes it difficult for nurses to work in an ethical way. Stop pushing the productivity and let us do our jobs the way they are supposed to be done. Last but not least, staff should be paid for the time they put into their job. It is wrong to expect employees to attend all day mandatory meetings without paying them or decreasing the amount of hours expected at the end of the month. I don't know how this company does not feel utterly embarrassed by how much they expect the employees to give their time to the company for free, while they live under the constant threat for not giving enough. This company is greedy and gets ahead while ruining the lives of their staff. With the amount of pressure that you place on your staff you really should be offering them more than 10 days a year that do not include holidays. Almost every other place offers nurses double that time. Then you ruin vacation by dumping so much work on your staff before their vacations that all they do is worry about the threats they will have to come back to when they get back.
