I wish they listed the items needed to complete the forms for hiring so you could have them ready.

I have been working at Genoa part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I was hired as a Per Diem Pharmacist a couple of months ago. I have been in the workforce as a pharmacist for 23 years. Most other pharmacies I have worked in basically have a trial by fire; in other words, I was thrown into the workflow almost as soon as I arrived, with little time for explanation or questions. At Genoa, it was completely different. The hands-on training was exceptional, and the online training complemented it very well. I am still “new,” and as a Per Diem Pharmacist, I have not had a lot of work hours to learn everything. But I can honestly say that I feel more prepared for this job in the limited number of hours that I have worked in these couple of months than I ever did anywhere else after 6 months or more.

    Cons

So far I haven’t seen any. It has been a good experience all around! I suppose the pay tends to be lower than retail, but working conditions are much better, which sets off the lower salary.

I worked at Genoa full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This job offered benefits, some opportunity for advancement due to the size of the company.

    Cons

The hourly wage was not satisfactory for my level of education. I also went above and beyond to assist on the pharmacy side and this was not appreciated.

    Advice to Management

It's difficult to give any advice. Genoa had acquired a behavioral health pharmacy I had been working in for less than a month. I never had much opportunity to connect with Genoa management.

    Pros

You are really part of a team that makes a difference here. This job and this company is unlike any other. The respect for employees and patients comes first in every way.

    Cons

None that I can think of at this time... A more flexible schedule might be helpful if that applies to you, but no evenings or weekends is great for most.
