    Pros

    The employees feel supported both by their colleagues and by administration. It's like a family at Gentiva, no one is left alone.

    Cons

    The case load can be challenging at times.

    Advice to Management

    Continue to support your employees and to foster the family atmosphere which to a great extent helps in retention.

    Pros

    I enjoy working in the Hickory branch. Flexibility in setting schedule, plenty of opportunities to grow, tons of resources available for patient care and education, great benefits, love my coworkers, everyone is helpful, best team I have worked with!

    Cons

    There is a lot to learn and it takes about 6 months to really feel confident. Good thing is there is always someone willing to help.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to staff, provide honest feedback, be flexible

    It was a great company to work with and I loved all of patients.

    Cons

    Not really any cons to the volunteer side.

    Advice to Management

    Try to appreciate the volunteers a little more.....because we do not get paid and we still treat the patients like we are getting paid very well.

    Pros

    The program manager at Gentiva, Vancouver, WA is a consummate professional--intelligent, effective, friendly, and supportive. The staff was experienced and pleasant to work with. Overall, a good bunch of people doing a good job on behalf of the clients served.

    Cons

    As a contract medical social worker, I provided home health services. I experienced no cons.

    Advice to Management

    Continue doing what you are doing--provide a supportive, friendly working environment that helps workers do an excellent job for clients.

    Pros

    Excellent sales manager and team! Operations management and team are the best. Clinical team is exceptional as well as the programs and services they provide. Great salary and benefits.

    This was the BEST group of people I ever had the pleasure of working with!

    Cons

    None. I would still be there if my territory hadn't been dissolved. There isn't anything negative that I could say about my experience.
