I have been working at Genworth full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Genworth's work environment is amazing. Everyone here is like a family and works together very well.

    Cons

Sick time is taken out of your vacation time. It would be nice if sick time was separate from vacation.

    Pros

Good benefits, Fair pay. Nice work environment.

    Cons

The company is going through a great deal of change. You can feel the stress in the air as everyone waits to see if the company will be bought and receive a much-needed cash infusion. Genworth will survive but the question is what will it look like int he future.

    Advice to Management

The company is well run. There are market forces at work that the company can only respond to. Senior management seems to be making the right steps to keeping the company alive and well.

I have been working at Genworth full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Environment! Co-Workers! Benefits! Advancement! Work Life Balance!

    Cons

My personal Supervisor is new to the company and I find that he is much stricter than any other leader in our department.

    Advice to Management

Ensure all employees get the same opportunities to learn and review other skill sets in other departments, no matter their individual leader. We should have the opportunity to change leaders every six months if in the same role and position.

    I worked at Genworth full-time

    Pros

When first hired job was interesting, fun and fulfilling. Management open to new ideas when first hired.

    Cons

Once company went through reorganization and subsequent downsizing, the company culture became negative. Unfortunate because former leadership was engaged with staff and customers.

    Advice to Management
