    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Georgia Department of Corrections full-time for more than 9 years

    Pros

Starting pay 28,000, ability to advance very quickly, lots of avenues to move into, lots of vacation time, sick time, holidays

    Cons

Extremely understaffed, frequently work overtime on salary, asked to do things against policy, but when kaka hits the fan you will be fired, terrible disconnection between upper management and staff.

    Advice to Management

Stop playing favorites, treat everyone equally, be more organized, stop pretending you dont have serious problems going on in prison. Stop covering up issues.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Georgia Department of Corrections full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Money was decent. The benefits were good

    Cons

Dirty upper management. Care bout the inmate population more than the officers. Not concern about the disrespect officers take off inmates. Dangerous

    Advice to Management

Listen to your officers. More people would stay if there was people willing to enforce policy.

I have been working at Georgia Department of Corrections full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Flexible schedule, local management was helpful, training was decent, updated fleet vehicles, all equipment was issued, able to switch offices easily

Don't micromanage from afar. Allow the supervisors you promoted to run their office.
