    There is a limited number of cons working at Georgia Pacific. Flexible work hours are sometimes offered but are not guaranteed. This is expected when working at a manufacturing plant/ paper mill site.

    MBM Culture is great, 90% of people working here want to help you learn and succeed and will go out of their way to help.

    Cons

    With every large organization, you get some politics and differences across groups in the company. Most seem like very good groups to work for.

    Pros

    Great environment where everyone has to decision right to challenge at any time with the goal of working safely while providing a high quality product for our customers.

    Cons

    If the ability to adapt to change is not something you are comfortable with then Georgia-Pacific is not the place for you.

    Continue the process of growing and always being opened to new and innovated ideals.

    I worked at Georgia-Pacific as an intern

    Pros

    Vice presidents were willing to meet with me to talk about my project. I liked my team and the opportunity to be creative in my marketing project.

    Very strict about not using social media at work.

    Pros

    Great company with good values. Work with a lot of great people. Started as a production worker 23 years ago and have not regretted it!

    Cons

    East Texas is hot and humid, that's about it.

    Cons

    Locations to live in may be in rural areas due to the proximity of the facilities. That can also be a positive if you like small town environments.

    Great Koch Industries company with unique Market Based Management philosophy and culture, meaningful roles that truly contribute to creating value for society, respectful diverse enthusiastic committed professional and fun colleagues and based in the attractive city of Atlanta.

    Cons

    Not a good company for people who are not entrepreneurial self starters and/or those expecting pre-determined standardized approaches to roles, careers, training and compensation. Almost everything is driven by and/or tailored to the individual employee.

    GP is a great company to work for and I don't have a con to share with Glass Door.

    Pros

    Great working environment, supportive management team, MBM guiding principles, great team work among management and hourly employees. safe work environment. Great support from Corporate management.

    Cons

    My salaried position required regular long hours in excess of 65 hours a week to keep up with work demands due to smaller staff. Request for additional staffing was not fulfilled.

    Advice to Management

    Greatly enjoyed working for GP, the use of MBM as work principles was great. I enjoyed the tight working relationship I had at my mill and with corporate resources.

    Pros

    It’s a huge company, so there is tons of opportunities as long as you work hard.
    Benefits are decent, but are all high deductible plans.
    Atmosphere is good. Mostly everyone is friendly and respects one another.
    Great framework, MBM Guiding Principles.

    Cons

    So far, there have not been any cons. They really have an open door policy. I have been had conversations with my boss’s boss.

    Advice to Management

    Practice and preach more of the MBM guidelines.
