I have been working at Georgia Tech full-time

    Pros

Great research opportunities, great professors, great job opportunities inside and outside of engineering.

    Cons

The teaching is certainly secondary to research.

    Advice to Management

Keep raising those rankings! And stop reconstructing roads.

    Pros

For someone in the communications and marketing field, Georgia Tech is a dream place to work. You're surrounded by professionals who are focused on success. The team is outstanding.

    Cons

You'll have to learn to work within a decentralized environment, but once you figure it out you'll realize how collaborative everyone is.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work.

I have been working at Georgia Tech part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great lab, great professors, perfect environment to learn and develop yourself

    Cons

Graduate student mandatory student fees are high. Some professors might not be great to work with.

    Advice to Management

Decrease graduate student mandatory student fees as they are a great burden on these students, who already do not earn a lot of money.

I have been working at Georgia Tech full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great Education, fun projects, great people. Hard work, but very fulfilling. There is a reason it holds some of the top programs in the country

    Cons

There is a lack of assistantships available. In fact, usually only PhDs get them. This makes the cost of attendance quite expensive

    Advice to Management

Keep up what you are doing well, research and teaching. It would be great to see more opportunities for funding to help pay.

I have been working at Georgia Tech as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great energy among those working for the Educational Outreach in the one-Saturday-per-month program for kids of all school ages! Free breakfast for instructors and staff!

    Cons

It is a part-time, temporary gig. But the experience is once in a lifetime! I would try to get on each year for the 6-session commitment.

    Advice to Management

Make sure to stay in contact with all instructors between sessions to confirm that they are still interested in participating.
