I worked at Georgia Tech part-time

    Pros

Loved my part time gig working in housing as a student at Georgia Tech. Work environment was stress-free and allowed me to work on schoolwork when I wasn't interfacing with residents. I love that Tech gave me this opportunity. Can't beat the stumble-out-of-bed commute!

    Cons

As is the norm for student jobs, I made minimum wage, but it was still a help.

I worked at Georgia Tech (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Nice environment to work in. There are many areas in which to work including academic, such as faculty, program manager or student advisor or non-academic, such as administration or facilities and grounds. It is a large place and there is a need for just about any area. The culture is pretty open in general but it also depends on the particular area you are in. Very good benefits and retirement plans if you stay for 10 years or more.

    Cons

Lockstep salaries and small raises. Promotions are few and far between. Bureacratic constraints restrict job efficiency. Very hard to get rid of non performers.
