I worked at Giant Eagle part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good work environment. Lots of great people to be around on the night shift. Manager was excellent with communication and offering flexibility with schedules.

    Cons

High turnover rate. Difficult to get full-time. Always seemed to be short-staffed due to not many people wanting the night shift.

    Advice to Management

It would be great if people could actually get full-time instead of 39 hours per week in order for employees to qualify for benefits.

I worked at Giant Eagle part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible scheduling, fun people to work with, and opportunity to jump around depts.

    Cons

Workplace politics and general laziness of some employees. Hard to move up and make a decent wage when you start in an entry level position.

    Advice to Management

Bring back appreciating your employees more. You used to acknowledge great behavior and leadership, and by the time I left those programs were virtually extinct.
