I have been working at Giant Eagle part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very accommodating to your schedule. Get raises and bonuses often. Will accommodate any physical restrictions if possible.

    Cons

Employees come and go as the wind changes. Drug test is a joke; almost all the youngster smoke weed and come to work high. Employs people that are too young to have any work ethics.

I have been working at Giant Eagle part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Very flexible with student schedules. Good pay and regular raises. Union positions inside stores.

    Cons

Corporate always tries to push new policies every few weeks without regard to how stores are actually run. Hours cut more and more each week to skeleton staff levels.

    Advice to Management

Study the stores and how they run before you put ass-backward policies in place.

I worked at Giant Eagle full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fast paced, always changing, and lots of opportunity. You can work on many different facets of the business over time if you are willing to learn new things.

    Cons

Upper management will not stick to a strategy. We attempt to test and learn, and in the middle of a test, we change something that voids the results of the test.
