Very flexible with work/life balance and scheduling Paid time off, vacation time for part time employees Basically impossible to get fired. Attendance policy was ridiculous, could call in sick once a week for a year and still have a job Pretty standard work, the training was ample

Pay sucks No incentive to work hard. Seniority is all that matters. All the cons of retail work There are a lot of policies you are asked to enforce with customers, many of which make no sense and cause upset customers Many managers are overworked or just simply incompetent

The job itself is fairly easy and not labor intensive. Management is also very flexible with your work schedule and is willing to work with you.

Everything you do is closely monitored to a ridiculous degree as the owners of the store are in every day and do more than their fair share to make sure no employee is given even a small bit of breathing room.

This was my first job I ever had. They were very flexible with me leaving for college and are very good with working around your school schedule while in high school. I later got to work in the Eagle's Nest because I'm in education and have my clearances. Very easy training.

Pay is abysmal for non-specialty departments. Competitive Wage isn't competitive at all, other stores in the area may pay 1, 2 or even 3 more an hour and the claim that he measly 10% off already overpriced grocery products is more than a fair compensation is just unfair. Inconsistent Scheduling prevents reliable work-life balance. Flexible schedule only exists in so far that you are expected to always be available to give up your life to the store. Often scheduled to work closing shifts, and then expected to be back in to open the department the very next day. Prices are to high, prompting complaints from customers that we can't do anything about. Certain Departments feel like they get special treatment over others in both pay and tasks. Constant department changes, such as adding new items and discontinuing popular items shows lack of understanding of the regional location.
