  5. "A good place to work, but not ideal."

    Pros

Good coworker experience and many opportunities to expand social horizons.
Ability to meet plenty of customers and become better at social skills.
Potential to move up; management is usually from older workers at the store.

    Cons

Difficult or taxing jobs, with very little rest.
Low pay (minimum wage for most).
    Inane corporate leadership.
Bad customers are always a possibility.

    Advice to Management

While some policies that require front end employees to keep active are wise and keep the floor moving, rest is necessary for a good job. A tired worker is going to be far less friendly and move slower. An irritated worker is going to be far less open and talkative than a worker who is bright and happy. Inane tasks (for instance, standing in front of lines or constantly fronting in downtime) are best left to the workers to do themselves, and should be rewarded for loyalty in some small, sustainable form instead of this being what all employees should do all the time. Autonomy is a powerful psychological force, and using the human want to be more successful instead of culturing a resentment of management may work better.

UNION controls everything but when request is made to management, management did not do anything and union number was not given to me.. I lost many hours of work
