I worked at Gibson Energy full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great People, Great work, Busy most times, Company is always growing

    Cons

Company is transitioning so job stability is always in question. Not much thought is put into who is laid off as you may get bumped in lieu of people that do less work and only there for the pay check.

    Advice to Management

Gibsons is in good hands and is on the right track

I worked at Gibson Energy full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Money a bit low for what you haul. Some really good people work there

    Cons

Was also threatened by same manager. Try ed to report it and was let go. Then told not to talk to any one working at Gibsons.middle management is a real joke allowed to do and say what they want with no repercussions . Would never work there again. They look like a leader but are not. Even heard 1 manager make jokes about a lease operators son who passed away. Really poor place

    Advice to Management

Take a good long look at middle management and how there treating there employees. Treat employees with respect. Do something about the threats

I worked at Gibson Energy full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Many old boys collecting a pat cheque and adding little or no value. Very poor leadership!

    Cons

Very unsafe people being exposed to BTEX. Total disregard for safe work practices! I can't believe the stuff they blend off and sell to Enbridge!

    Advice to Management

Can all your senior staff in Edmonton that had anything to do with your trucking or terminal operations for more than 5 years

    Pros

Pay was quite good, great experience. Great people to work with and a physical job.

    Cons

At times safety was not the top concern of lower management, even though Upper management had stated it was of upmost importance
