    Negative Outlook

I worked at Gifford Fong Assoc full-time

    Pros

Agreed with previous posts- some exposure to various asset classes

    Cons

Heavily family-operated, nasty office politics, petty power struggles from mid-level managers to new hires since day 1. Few managers really know finance. This is probably a place to avoid for new hires if you don't have any "preexisting relationship" o "special background" with the senior managers.

    Advice to Management

Be kind, be less stingy with salaries and office resources, be open, and be fair.

    Pros

Great exposure to different asset classes. Compensation is OK considering the size of the firm. Free lunch every Friday. Nice HR.

    Cons

High turnover rate. Lack necessary resources. Not professional. One of the senior managers has no rigorous finance background but pretends to have.

    Advice to Management

Please take Finance 101. Please show your respect to people under you who knows finance. Please be professional and finally, please be honest.
