I have been working at Gifford Medical Center (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Gifford is an awesome place for someone to start out a career in healthcare. There are many leaders there willing to be mentors!

    Cons

Not a lot of opportunity for advancement!
Not a competitive salary market - underpaid!!

    Advice to Management

Grow new leaders from within - offering ways to expand roles to keep them interested. Boost salaries to keep good employees versus spending a fortune on recruitment and training!

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Gifford Medical Center full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Honestly, the only pro about this place is the cafeteria.

    Cons

Management has total disrespect for their employees, pay is minimal and since they're the only gig in the area, they get away with it. If you're considering working here because it's near where you live, think again. It's better to brave the Vermont winters and commute to someplace else than work here.
