I worked at Gilat Satellite Networks part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There is a shuttle service to and from the train station and ample underground parking.

    Cons

Company does not have a set business plan and attempts to pivot every few months, this lack of direction causes confusion among employees.
Company lunch room doesn't have many healthy options.
Many group and team leaders are shuffled around often and they do not attempt to understand the logic behind the way their teams work before attempting an overhaul.
Hardware used on a day to day basis is outdated and not maintained and the only software used is outdated and ill fitting to the tasks at hand.
Total lack of automation or work methodologies causes employees to quickly lose motivation.
There is no career path for employees to grow inside the company.
    Zero benefits

I worked at Gilat Satellite Networks full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Used to be very good atmosphere and nice people. Interesting technology and international market exposure.

    Cons

Market is evolving slower than online technology and also not growing in volume which meant (at that time) decreasing financing.

    Negative Outlook

    Pros

I was able to learn and have a lot of hands on when it comes to using equipment and being exposed to latest technology. R&D department is somewhat accessible (not like other companies) and this is good specially when you are in a position of customer service.

    Cons

The level of organization in the company is overall very low. Things get done literally to the last minute, this sometimes could make the job unnerving.
Salaries are not as high as the level of responsibility for the job. Lots of travelling and pressure (specially those positions facing customers in their premises) and the pay in return is not as it should be.
The whole salary scheme in the company seems to be based on how good you can negotiate it and not to your actual development and what you bring to the company.

    Advice to Management

Improve the salary scheme and the yearly appraisals. Very talented people left the company just because salary issues and lack of dynamism from managers to pinpoint issues and fix them.
