I worked at Gilbarco Veeder-Root full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Salary is better than other local companies.

    Cons

The biggest problem is management. They don't appreciate you as an individual, your skills, or how hard you work. Worked as a contractor for 15 months during which time I was involved in automating numerous gas dispensers in the Reliability Lab and Hydraulics lab. I took pride in everything I did, all of my work from assembly to wiring to fixture building to reliability testing. Management knew I wanted a permanent...

    Advice to Management

Human Resources needs to start looking into allegations of favortism and harassment by management. Upper management needs to start investigating why materials purchased just disappear. Sometimes orders for $10,000 and up just vanish. Lastly this is the gospel truth, no slander here.... Upper management doesn't have a clue what goes on in the factory. Take control start holding other managers accountable.

I have been working at Gilbarco Veeder-Root full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

    - Exposure to large variety of fields: IT, Manufacturing, Engineering, Reliability and Regulatory, Business, Marketing, etc. - Lots of opportunities across organization to explore different skills - Good benefit packages and 401 matching - Certain parts of the organization are people centric and focus on team building but this is not consistent

    Cons

    - Building is dirty and workspace is dark and dusty - Leadership is heavily driven by white males, in their late 40s to 50s - Diversity and inclusion efforts are underway but will need a long time to implement - Sexism is fairly common – minimal opportunities for females to grow in their roles (or minorities) - Workplace respect is not common – senior leadership members can be disrespectful to team members publicly...

    Advice to Management

Work on building people up, invest in diversity and re-charge by changing senior (L2, L3) leaders to help drive inclusion and diversity. Work on setting up and ensuring equal pay between male and females within the same roles.

I have been working at Gilbarco Veeder-Root full-time

    Pros

Sink or swim mentality throughout company. If you want opportunity, you have every chance to go out and get it.

    Cons

Chaotic environment with a very strong focus on company wide driven metrics that do no align with job roles. Performance reviews are a joke.

    Advice to Management

Pivot to a system that drives quality product rather than profit margin and OTD before a 3rd party comes in and puts the company to shame.
