I worked at Gillette Stadium part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I loved the staff I worked with and being able to work where my favorite sports team plays. It was amazing to see some games live even though I was working through them. I worked in the club level so I was inside the entire time and out of the cold.

    Cons

Unfortunately, the cons outweigh the pros for this job. I worked in food and beverage at the club level and had to quit at the beginning of this season.

The worst part about this job is how they treat breaks. You only are allowed one 15 minute paid break and nothing else. I would work 10 to 12 hour shifts until well into 1 or 2 am and would only receive one 15 minute break. The entire rest of my shift I was expected to stand at the register and take orders from costumers. It was exhausting and I left every shift with swollen feet.

The hours were also horrible and the manager of the club section always spent more time talking and joking with friends instead of managing. I would have to wait until he was done talking to all his friends before he could come over to check our closing work and send my stand home. This would mean we would sit around for 45min to an hour and a half just waiting for him to send us home.

The final straw happened when I needed to leave work in an ambulance and I was not allowed to leave my stand for 45 minutes. I then had to walk down to the paramedics where they decided my complaints were serious enough to warrant an ambulance ride to the hospital. I felt I could have been more assertive here, but I still believe that if someone is having heart problems they should not be made to wait to go to the hospital.

Overall, my experience was poor and I would not return to work for this company. The management is a mess and they do not care about their employees. I loved my coworkers and working at Gillette Stadium, but it was not enough to keep me there.

    Advice to Management

Give longer or more breaks for 10 hour shifts. You shouldn't only be giving 15 minute breaks, if you expect your employees to work 10 hours.

Take employees health concerns more seriously but put them above making money.

Train management better or just replace some people

    Pros

i would say none besides working for a well recognized organization.

    Cons

Compensation was terrible and the benefits were equally bad. Worked 90 hour weeks with no flex time. No discounts. Leadership was terrible and you were constantly reminded that you were replaceable because everyone wants to work in the home of the Patriots.
