    Pros

Learned a lot in a short period of time. Room for growth. A great learning curve for those looking to gain quick experience in an entry level position.

    Cons

Not the best salary, could be better, long hours, kind of had to learn things on my own. Not very organized way of learning, had to take it upon yourself to find your way around.

    I worked at Giordano part-time

    Pros

Usually the team is pretty great and the company is tech-savvy, so less paperwork for everyone.

    Cons

Head management and area managers can be frustrating and don't necessarily listen to the staff who are actually in the store and know what works.

    Advice to Management

Consult the people on the floor a bit more about what's working before implementing sales plans.

    Pros

    - As one of the top tier international brand which headquarter located in Hong Kong, you really get to learn a lot about how to run a huge fast fashion company.

    - The company are targeting low purchasing power customers, so you can expect not much emphasis on quality and design, but more on different discount schemes and short product lifespan.

    - Giordano is doing pretty good in terms of localising their marketing strategies. Partnering with brands such as Marvel (Avengers), Lowe Alpine, local celebrities... these kind of co-branding projects are quite fun and interesting to get involved.

    Cons

If you are really into fashion industry, Giordano is probably not your place. As the target customers are mostly mainland and South East Asian tourists and with a relatively low price point, the brand is in general perceived as boring and not appealing.

    Advice to Management

The company is undergoing hard time in terms of driving sales in various markets due to increasing competition from foreign brands such as H&M, GAP and Uniqlo. The management should think about what are the long-term strategies on evolving the brand as a story instead of keep pulling out discount price tags.
